Trevo continues to make a name for themselves in the MLM space

From the way their website talks about it, you’d think this company discovered the elixir for eternal life instead of just another vitamin-infused drink.

Well, their product actually does have way more vitamins than possibly any other nutritional supplement out there. 174 ingredients from the world’s most nutrient-dense plants are packed into this beverage, and people love it.

Does this mean I’m involved?

This video explains everything:

Make sense? Either way, here’s the full review on Trevo.

Overview

Trevo is basically the Chicago Bulls in 1996, except in drink form.

Not gonna lie, the Stevens family, Trevo founders, look a little plastic. I’d bet there’s more than supplement juice (i.e. botox) keeping them youthful.

Mark Stevens, CEO, is a pretty well-known business owner/entrepreneur and best-selling author. He’s listed in the Who’s Who in Corporate America and serves on a number of important boards and charities. He’s been a motivational speaker and success coach. [1]

Holli Stevens, Director of Finance, has been nationally recognized as a top salesperson in the direct sales industry.

The couple formed Trevo together, which is governed by 7 “empowering principles”, 4 pillars, 9 core values, and a mission statement…

Confusing.

Here are the four pillars:

  1. Vibrant physical health
  2. Enthusiastic emotional health
  3. Thriving spiritual health
  4. Abundant financial health

*yawn*

Heard those before…from every other nutrition MLM.

Their 9 core values are…

  1. Persistence
  2. Consistence
  3. Giving
  4. Fun
  5. Embrace
  6. Passion
  7. Together
  8. Innovation
  9. Integrity

That’s all good, but what does life for a distributor actually look like?

Products

Trevo essentially has one product – their 174-ingredient nutritional supplement drink called Trevo. It does come in different sizes…

  • 32-ounce bottle
  • 2-ounce Trevo2Go bottle

The drink is a “three-phase formula” that works in the following three ways…

  • Restores energy and focus and stimulates your body.
  • Renews your body with phytonutrients.
  • Revives you with anti-aging and immunity properties.

But, really, why do they need 174 ingredients? Seems a little excessive.

Well, if you take all the magical herbs and exotic plants that various MLMs use in their nutritional products and combine them into one drink, you’d have Trevo.

Some supplements focus on nutraceuticals found down in the depths of the ocean, some like to tout the incredible wonders hiding in the Amazon rainforest, and some like to tell lofty stories about trekking the Himalayas for their ingredients. Trevo combines them all.

The drink includes everything from acai, asparagus, biotin, banana, bromelain, and coral calcium (literally calcium from fossilized coral), to garlic, amino acids, noni, papaya, pomegranate, and…162 other things. [2]

What you get is basically a SUPER superfood supplement that serves all kinds of functions, including:

  • Mental health and cognition
  • Weight management
  • Heart health
  • Cellular health
  • Digestion
  • Nervous system
  • Immune system
  • Circulatory system
  • Eye health
  • Bone and joint health
  • Blood pressure

Whether or not it’s really effective to just throw all the best herbs and fruits together into one miracle drink is up in the air.

The FDA has not backed any of their claims, of course, however there are some studies that look promising. They’re and Kosher, CAP-e certified, vegetarian, and they’re endorsed by Dr. Brian Wilmovsky, a pretty famous chiropractor who’s all about natural medicine.

They’re also ORAC certified and have a high score of over 373,000 per bottle. ORAC (Oxygen radical absorbance capacity) scores are basically a way to tell how high-powered and effective the antioxidants in a given substance are. [3]

There are definitely scientific benefits to many of the ingredients in Trevo too. Amino acids are crucial proteins for building and maintaining cell health, antioxidants fight free radicals that have been linked to diabetes, heart disease, and cancer, and polyphenols have been shown to successfully lower cholesterol and prevent heart disease. [4]

Trevo also claims the beverage is good for the health of everyone from your toddler to your great grandpa (children should be over the age of 2).

Opportunity

You do have to purchase monthly minimum orders to remain active and get commission, and the more you buy, the more commission you can access.

  • 1 bottle a month gets you access to 1 generation
  • 2 bottles a month gets you access to 2 generations
  • 3 bottles a month gets you access to 5 generations
  • 4 bottles a month gets you access to 5 generations
  • 6 bottles a month gets you access to all 8 generations [6]

You’ve got 8 ways to make money with Trevo:

  1. Retail sales
  2. Power start commissions
  3. Upgrade commissions
  4. QVP commissions
  5. Bulk pack commission
  6. Team volume recognition pool bonus
  7. Leadership bonuses
  8. Charity bonus

Their compensation plan is a single line matrix compensation plan. It’s pretty unique to them, and everyone who joins Trevo after you benefits you somehow.

Retail sales commission is about 20-40%, which is pretty standard. A bottle of product is $59.99, which could net you $22. You get some decent bonuses for enrolling preferred customers too.

Compression is used to make sure that your commission are maximized every month, which is nice.

When one of your personal recruits enrolls a new “Life and Health Coach” (distributor), you get 20% of their enrollment purchase in the form of a matching bonus.

You also get bonuses for selling bulk packs and moving up in rank, and of course, group volume commission.

Recap

Compensation plan is not bad. It’s not great either. It’s pretty middle of the road as far as nutritional MLMs go, but they’ve got some decent bonuses that might tip it in favor of the distributor.

The product idea is pretty catchy, to be honest.

It’s pretty hard to compete in this niche because everyone and their mother is pushing nutritional products from MLMs that contain the latest miracle fruit and super vegetable.

Trevo really goes head to head with the competition, one-upping them all by including every nutrient dense ingredient they could find.

But as with so many other MLMs, the money is top-heavy. Even if the company is sitting pretty, only the top 1% of reps are seeing that wealth, if that.

—

Would it be worth your time to join Trevo? Eh, maybe. You’d have to really believe in the products and have a solid approach to getting your leads.

But if it’s the money opportunity you’re chasing, there are other opportunities out there that would yield a better reward for your time.

If you like automated ways to build passive income, there are better ways.

(and you can trash those old MLM habits, too)

Tastefully Simple is downsizing – still a good opportunity?

Between Pinterest bake-offs and Top Chef marathons, Instagram foodies and poor man’s Martha Steward bloggers, there’s a lot of interest in learning how to make delicious, gourmet meals at home.

Tastefully Simple makes it, well, simple with their gourmet meals and easy recipes.

The company’s mission is to “provide exceptional tasting experiences and lifestyle solutions through simple, delicious food and enriching business opportunities.”

Does this mean I’m involved?

This video explains everything:

Make sense? Either way, here’s the full review on Tastefully Simple.

Overview

They were founded in Minnesota in 1995, so they’ve got under two decades of sales under their belt.

Jill Blashack, Tastefully Simple Founder and CEO, is a powerful motivational speaker and top entrepreneur with decades of experience in businesses small and massive.

She started out owning her own Minnesota café called “Jill’s Grill” as her first entrepreneurial endeavor. Then, she started her own retail gift basket company. Finally, she started Tastefully Simple as “a dream on a shoestring” in a 1,200 square foot shed. [1]

Now, the company is hitting $50-100 million in global sales revenue each year. [2]

And Jill is blazing the way to being the top female entrepreneur in all of America.

She’s been reeling in award after award after being named Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young in 2000 and again in 2003.

By 2007 she was named Inc. Entrepreneur of the Year for Minnesota.

She even made it into the Hall of Fame for Minnesota for the National Association of Women Business Owners. In 2012 and again in 2014, Direct Selling News declared her the most influential woman in direct sales. [3]

However, just recently they announced that they had to downsize their operations, cutting 39 jobs at their headquarters in Alexandria, Minnesota. 140 people will remain employed. [4]

While it’s not necessarily GOOD news, for a company as big as Tastefully Simple, this kind of streamlining isn’t necessarily that bad.

Unfortunately, interest in the company over the past 5 years isn’t looking too good either.

They have individual food items and meal packages in a variety of categories…

  • Beverages
  • Bread and muffins
  • Desserts
  • Dip mixes
  • Salsas
  • Salad dressings
  • Sauces and spreads
  • Seasonings
  • Snacks
  • Soups
  • Gluten free
  • Kosher
  • Diet foods

Their meal collections include…

  • 30 meals & more
  • 10 meals & more
  • Dinner mixers
  • Entertaining platters
  • Freezer meals

The meal collections come in packages of 10 meals or 30 meals and include recipes and some ingredients. They do not include things like fresh produce and meats, but they come with a shopping list to tell you exactly what else you need.

Their “Family Faves”, for example, includes the following ingredients for 10 meals:

  • Artichoke and spinach dip mix
  • Bacon pepper jam
  • Chicken tortilla soup mix
  • Chipotle pulled pork sauce
  • Garlic pepper seasoning
  • Honey Dijon vinaigrette
  • Multi-grain beer bread mix
  • Raspberry oatmeal bar mix
  • Simply salsa mix

Some of the recipes for this package are:

  1. Shredded beef tacos
  2. Ham & swiss quiche
  3. Chipotle pork sandwiches
  4. Bacon-glazed meatloaf
  5. Chicken tortilla bake
  6. Creamy artichoke chicken
  7. Sloppy joe sliders
  8. Southwest beef & bean soup
  9. Chicago style pizza
  10. Bacon & Dijon pork burgers

They sound delicious, and they must be. Tastefully Simple recipes are super popular.

They’re all over Pinterest with tons of pins.

Major recipe outlets such as Food.com have even made their own copy recipes of Tastefully Simple recipes, such as a Copycat version of their signature Beer Bread. [5]

The 10 meal collections are $69.95, which isn’t terrible…almost $7 a meal, and each meal has about 6 servings.

But when you think about the fact that you still have to buy all the substantial ingredients like produce and meat, the cost goes up quite a bit.

Still, worth it if you really like the recipes. But not necessarily a money-saver.

Opportunity

Regular customers can host parties, and if they make over $500 in sales, they get $65 in free products. If they sell more, they earn more, up to $165 in free product.

Cooking and sampling food in front of potential customers is also one of the best ways to make sales, so I’d imagine the parties are at least somewhat successful.

Startup kits for new distributors, or Consultants, range from $170-239.95, which is a little high for the industry.

Consultants get a 20% discount on future orders. They can also earn up to 30% commission on their sales, which is right at the industry average.

Still, you’re not making huge sales with this company, because even their big product bundles are under $100. That means you’re going to have to push sale after sale after sale to hundreds of people to see any real money off commissions alone. Even $1,000 in sales only nets you $130. [6] [7]

They also don’t offer much in the way of sales and marketing training, so unless you’ve got a solid background, you’re kind of on your own.

So, of course, you’re going to be reliant on recruitment for the real money. That’s nothing new with MLM.

You also have to purchase $400 worth of product every quarter to remain active, which is kind of a lot.

And the company doesn’t disclose the earnings of its distributors, so it’s really a blind investment that you might not make any money back on.

Recap

They’ve got a product that’s definitely loved.

And good food is really a product that sells itself if you find the right market.

But with products that don’t cost much, even with a good commission rate, it’s not easy to make much money off sales.

That seems to be the case with MLM in general.

Either you’ve got a product that’s good but doesn’t offer you a big profit return, or you’ve got a horrible product that promises great profit if you can sell it, but no one wants to buy it.

—

It’s not that I don’t like the company. In fact, I think Tastefully Simple has done a lot of things well. But they are still MLM, and MLMs are known for getting hot and then falling off the grid a few years later.

If you like automated ways to build passive income, there are better ways.

(and you can trash those old MLM habits, too)

Are people making any money with Talk Fusion?

AOL and AIM chat rooms were hot in the late 90s. They completely ran the online communication space.

But thanks to the advent of video chatting services, those days are long gone, and Talk Fusion hopped on that train. Their modern approach to video communication has given the company a lot of buzz in recent years.

Does this mean I’m involved?

This video explains everything:

Make sense? Either way, here’s the full review on Talk Fusion.

Overview

Bob Reina, named the “World’s Greatest CEO” (by…his own company, at least they like him?) founded Talk Fusion to capitalize on the trend of video chatting, from everything to personal services to video conferencing for business professionals to mobile apps.

Before joining the direct sales world, the guy was a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputy…random. He actually started his first network marketing position while he was still a Sheriff, and clearly it worked out for him.

He became a top salesman, but he ended up desperately needing a way to video email with his clients and recruits, a technology that wasn’t available at the time.

So, instead of giving up, he up and started his own company and enlisted tech genius Dr. Jonathan Chen to develop video chatting software that could blow AOL out of the water. [1]

Bob is apparently also super humble, friendly, and loves animals, frequently contributing and donating to animal causes. Awww.

But anyway, aside from the gumdrops and sugar plums, how is this company really doing?

Well, their estimated revenue in 2011 was $100 million. [2]

These guys are big. According to Alexa rankings they have the number 1 ranked website in Direct Selling. They’ve got a whopping 200,000 distributors in 114 countries. [3]

Products

Their products are pretty simple, functional, and fill a big need – or at least they did before services like Skype and Google Hangout blew up.

But it seems to still be doing well. Just a few months ago their Video Chat product received the 2016 Communications Solutions Products of the Year Award from the Technology Marketing Corporation. [4]

The app itself is available on iTunes and Google Play, and it’s got phenomenal reviews. Still nearly five stars after over 700 reviews. [5]

They’ve got quite a bit to offer…

Video Email

This is their original product.

They’re fun, quick, and easy video emails that can be used for personal, business, or charity purposes. They come with thousands of professionally designed templates.

Video Newsletters

This product has an easy drag-and-drop interface that allows businesses to create professional, impressive video newsletters with no technical knowledge.

Live Meetings

Video streaming, live chat, desktop sharing, and PowerPoint capabilities allow you to hold live global meetings from the comfort of your own office.

Video Chat

Skype and FaceTime are still more popular, but their video chat service has won awards and can connect people across any and every device.

Sign-Up Forms

They even sell sign-up forms and templates for your website to gain subscribers, and subscribers are then followed up with automatically with a video response.

All-in-One Video Marketing Solution

This bundle includes all of their products together for your ultimate video marketing needs. You can even do a free 30-day trial, which requires no credit card information and includes all of their products as well as tutorials and marketing resources. If you decide to continue your subscription, you can do so.

Depending on how many features and products you want, a monthly subscription ranges from $25-75 per month. [6]

That’s actually really not a bad price if you’re into the product.

The question is – are these video emails, video newsletters, and custom sign-up forms actually worth it?

Well, there’s actually a lot of evidence that video marketing is highly effective.

First of all, video in emails leads to a 200-300% increase in conversion rates. [7]

And, after watching a video, 64% of users are more likely to buy a product online. [8]

So, clearly the product works. But how can you make money off of it?

Opportunity

Commissions are instant for distributors, deposited in your bank account or onto your Talk Fusion Visa card in three minutes.

This is actually really important, because a lot of MLMs are still behind the times paying out weekly or even monthly with their commissions. Only a few have caught onto instant pay, but it is a game changer.

Distributors, or Independent Associates (IAs), market to individuals and businesses alike, broadening their potential customer base.

To join, you have to purchase one of their Business Builder Packs, which range in price from $125-$1500. $125 isn’t bad, but $1,500 is kind of insane for an investment in a network marketing opportunity.

They’ve got some good Fast Start Bonuses for selling Business Builder Packs ($10-$120) and for maintaining monthly customers ($5-$15 per month per customer).

You’ve got to qualify for team commissions, and you do that by hitting a minimum Personal Sales Volume (PSV) requirement (a one-time purchase of 50 PSV and then a monthly amount of 10 PSV) AND either

  • Having at least one personally sponsored Associate on both your left and right legs

Or

  • Having at least one personally sponsored Associate on either your left or right leg and have one personally sponsored customer on a monthly plan

To get an idea of their point system…

  • The Video Email & Newsletter ($25) is worth 10 SV
  • The Basic package ($50) is worth 20 SV
  • The Custom package ($75) is worth 30 SV

Team commissions are confusing, not clearly laid out, and they depend heavily on how expensive your initial Business Builder Pack was.

Their Mega-Matching Bonus gets you 10% off your personally sponsored Associate’s sales if you qualify for team commissions. [9]

There are a plethora of other bonuses and rewards, from Rolexes to Mercedes, but I have to assume most people don’t ever see them.

Recap

So, they’ve got a pretty neat product, and if you know a lot about marketing and are well-connected with a lot of businesses who could use the product, this could be a good network marketing opportunity for you…

Even though their compensation plan isn’t the greatest. It’s too confusing, and the initial investment is a lot if you want to actually have a chance at making good money.

That becomes obvious when you look at their 2015 Income Disclosure Statement.

The MAJORITY of their Associates, over 60%, earned absolutely nothing. Meaning they lost money when you take into account their initial investment.

After that, another about 33.3% made $500 or less, in an entire year.

Another 5% were lucky enough to top $500 in annual earnings but couldn’t make it past $2,500.

So, if you can do math…

1.5% of their Associates made over $2,500 in annual income.

Not a good way to score big bucks.

—

Overall, these guys actually have a pretty cool business. But if you are just trying to make some side income, it’s probably not your best opportunity.

It’s still MLM, and MLMs are known for getting hot and then falling off the grid a few years later.

If you like automated ways to build passive income, there are better ways.

(and you can trash those old MLM habits, too)

Total Life Changes – just another diet tea scam?

Apparently, solving America’s obesity epidemic is actually as simple as drinking tea and smoothies. Who knew?

Well, not just any tea and smoothies – specifically the tea and smoothies from Total Life Changes.

But in all seriousness, their products have been a recent hit among young health enthusiasts.

Does this mean I’m involved?

This video explains everything:

Make sense? Either way, here’s the full review on Total Life Changes.

Overview

They were started way back in 1999, but they used to be called SeAcai. In 2012 they rebranded to Total Life Changes.

Jack Fallon is the company’s founder and CEO. He used to work for Ford Motors and started the company out of his home, where he hired one employee, Loretta LaLonde, to supervise accounting. Right after that John Licari, who is currently their COO, became the second employee.

The dynamic trio spent long hours building the company, filling orders, and helping customers from Jack’s basement in Detroit Michigan.

Since then they’ve been booming. They quickly moved to a 1,500 square foot warehouse space, but by 2012, they had to purchase another one in order to fill all their orders. In 2015, they opened a 21,000 square foot headquarters on top of it all. [1]

They’ve also gone totally global, conducting business now in over 140 countries with over 5,000 employees. Pretty huge. [2]

And now they’re signing checks to top earners in the 6-figures, sometimes even 7-figures. [3]

Not bad for one paycheck.

They were ranked #100 on DSN’s annual Global 100 list. [4]

And they expect to double their sales by the end of 2016, for a grand total of around $150 million in sales. [5]

They’ve even got a “1 Team, 1 Dream, 100,000 Families” goal of helping 100,000 families achieve an income of $1,000 per month or more working as distributors for the company.

While that’s not much monthly income, it’s something, and it’s pretty cool to see a company that clearly cares about all their distributors making money and not just their top earners.

Products

Total Life Changes has expanded their product line quite a bit since their inception to include everything from supplements and tea to skincare and essential oils.

Health & Wellness

  • Iaso NRG, Iaso Siberian Chaga Extract, Iaso SlimAM, Iaso Techui, Stem Sense, and Iaso SlimPM are all supplements for weight loss and additional medical benefits.
  • Iaso Nutra Burst Liquid Multivitamin is a vitamin supplement.
  • Iaso Tea and Iaso Tea Instant is a gentle detox tea that’s supposedly the #1 detox tea and a top 5 direct selling product in the world. It uses a blend of 9 essential herbs to cleanse the digestive system twice a day. They claim the tea will help you show measurable weight loss within 5 days.
  • Life Drops & Resolution Drops are dietary supplements in drop-form that claim to boost energy and help you lose weight if you stay on their 1,200 calorie diet. Of course, if you’re on a 1,200 calorie diet, you’re probably going to lose weight…so who says it’s these drops of magic doing the work?

Skincare

  • Envidia Skin Restorative Serum, Luna Nighttime Repair Cream, & Sol Daytime Face Cream are skincare products designed to restore skin, improve texture, reduce wrinkles, and firm skin.
  • Iaso Emu Oil is a skincare product for people who want something 100% natural.
  • SlimR Body Sculpting Cream & SlimR Body Wraps are for improving and tightening the skin on your body and giving yourself a spa quality wrap. Supposedly they fight fat. The science is still out on the question of whether wrapping your body up really tightly actually makes you skinnier, but these things are all the rage.
  • Lashes is their 3-D fiber lashes mascara.

Coffee

  • Iaso Café Delgada is a Sumatran instant coffee that promotes weight loss with the all-natural Siberian Chaga mushroom.

Essential Oils

This is their line of essential oils. They claim 100% purity, but there’s no way they’re catching up in this market to essential oils MLMs DoTERRA and Young Living. They’ve got 8 varieties right now.

  1. Blood Orange
  2. Frankincense
  3. Gladiator
  4. Lemon Zest
  5. Peppermint
  6. Tea Tree
  7. Uplifting
  8. Wild Lavender

The Iaso tea is by far the most popular product. It contains persimmon leaves, holy thistle, malva leaves, marshmallow, blessed thistle, papaya, ginger, chamomile, and myrrh. Supposedly, these 9 herbs combined have a huge variety of health benefits…

  • Detoxifying the organs
  • Relieving indigestion
  • Increasing weight loss
  • Reducing inflammation
  • Improving skin

There’s aren’t any clinical studies to back up these claims, but the tea does sound delicious. It’s also Certified Organic.

Opportunity

There are five ways to earn with Total Life Changes.

  1. Retail Customer Profits & Commissions
  2. Fast Start Bonus
  3. Binary Pay
  4. Matching Bonus
  5. Lifestyle Bonus

There’s no charge to become a member, but you do have to buy a product kit and business starter kit to qualify for commission. You have to generate 40 personal QV every month to qualify and remain active.

Independent Business Owners (IBOs) earn up to 50% retail commission on their customers’ purchases, paid out weekly. This is pretty awesome, except that it’s up to 50%. What that means is not really spelled out in their plan, so you could very well be earning something like 10% on most purchases.

If you personally sponsor three new IBOs in your first month who then become qualified, you get a $60 bonus. You also get up to 50% commission on their first order volume.

In order to qualify for binary commission, you have to personally sponsor at least two IBOs that are currently active. As you move up in rank, you can qualify for matching bonuses as well as team commissions. [6]

Recap

Although their compensation plan isn’t completely transparent, binary commission rates are pretty good…if you can recruit fast and move up in rank.

The products are mostly pretty generic…nothing special about selling 10 different nutritional supplements that are overpriced. However, their tea is a best seller in the direct selling industry, so at least they’ve got that one popular signature product.

—

Look, if you are set on going the MLM route, this probably wouldn’t be a bad one to join. Just don’t expect to get rich or quit your day job with it.

But if you like automated ways to build passive income, there are better ways.

(and you can trash those old MLM habits, too)

Is Sisel as shady as they sound?

These guys are old. They remember hair bands and spandex, and their 80s-esque logo proves it.

Sisel may have been around since the late 80s, but with some re-branding and marketing campaigns they’ve managed to stay relevant in the MLM space.

Does this mean I’m involved?

This video explains everything:

Make sense? Either way, here’s the full review on Sisel, which I stand by 100%.

Overview

Sisel was founded by a husband and wife team, Thomas Mower and Leslie D. Mower, in 1987 under the name “Images and Attitude”. Suuuuper 80s.

Fast forward to 1992 and they changed their name to Neways to keep up with the times. Still not working.

Now they’re Sisel, and they sell health and beauty products.

They’ve made it through the decades, but not without some bumps.

In the early 90s they marketed their products as containing safer chemicals than other brands, a marketing tactic that’s now par for the course but worked to give them a nice boost even back then.

But their claims were false, and after it was found that their weight loss products contained doses of chemicals that were actually unsafe (furosemide), they were forced to recall them. [1]

Then again, in 2003, the cute couple that started this booming health and beauty company was indicted for not paying income taxes (they skipped out on a whopping $3.2 million according to the IRS). [2]

Thomas Mower and Leslie Mower actual ended up doing time in federal prison after being charged with the crime. How’s that for a founders story?

So, they left Neways behind under new management to go sit in a jail cell. And what did they do when they got out? What any good MLM would do under pressure, of course – they rebranded!

Thomas Mower founded Sisel in 2006 with his son, secretly trying to recruit internally by luring Neways distributors over to Sisel.

Neways even won a court injunction against Sisel in 2008, requiring them to return all the distributor information they essentially stole from Neways. [3]

Mower seemed to be over the U.S. too, with all their laws and taxes, so he moved Sisel to Sarnen, Switzerland where it’s currently headquartered.

Sisel is still chugging along, but they’ve definitely got a shady history powering them through. Who knows how long that’ll keep them going.

  • Bronze membership: 50 PV each month
  • Silver membership: 100 PV each month
  • Gold membership: 150 PV each month
  • Platinum membership: 200 PV each month

There are 6 ways to get paid with Sisel:

  1. Fast Start Bonus
  2. Direct Commission
  3. Master Check Match
  4. Retail Commission
  5. Rank Advancement Bonus
  6. Luxury Auto Bonus

Their Fast Start Bonus is paid out daily, which is pretty rare. You get 5% on each person you sponsor up to four levels, but you’ve got to place a minimum order of 50 PV.

Their direct commission, or commission on your downline, is frankly pretty confusing. You can get paid all the way down to 10 levels if you hit Platinum rank, which is pretty good, but requires a minimum order of 250 PV monthly. [4]

You get 2% on your first level, 8% on your 2nd level, unless you’re only a Bronze and then you only get 5% on your 2nd level, 10% on your 3rd level unless, again, you’re a Bronze and then you only get 5% on your 3rd level, and it continues down in this overly-complicated way. Not sure what they’re trying to hide here. But basically, it goes like this…

  • Level 1 – 2% for all members
  • Level 2 – Bronze 5%, Silver 8%, Gold 8% and Platinum 8%
  • Level 3 – Bronze 5%, Silver 10%, Gold 10% and Platinum 10%
  • Level 4 – Bronze 0%, Silver 10%, Gold 10% and Platinum 10%
  • Level 5 – Bronze 0%, Silver 0%, Gold 8% and Platinum 8%
  • Levels 6 to 7 – Platinum 5%, 0% for everyone else
  • Levels 8 to 9 – Platinum .5-2%, 0% for everyone else
  • Level 10 – Platinum 1-2%, 0% for everyone else

Retail commission is less confusing – 20%. But it’s not that impressive, especially when you realize it’s only 20% commission on preferred customer purchases (those on monthly auto-ship).

Of course, they’ve got rank bonuses and car bonuses too, but who doesn’t?

In the end, this isn’t a terrible commission plan, but it is way too complicated.

Recap

So, they’ve got a way complicated commission plan that, in the end, is nothing special.

And they’ve got a way shady history that really makes you wonder what kinds of skeletons their founder is going to whip out of his closet next.

But they have a huge variety of products which, while generic, seem to be keeping them afloat. They’ve survived some pretty serious blunders.

As I’ve shown throughout this review, I’m far from a Sisel hater. But they’re still MLM and the MLM system is flawed.

If you like automated ways to build passive income, there are better ways.

(and you can trash those old MLM habits, too)
