You mean all I have to do is drink absurd amounts of coffee and the pounds will start falling off? Well, sort of.
The Valentus diet sounds like a gift from above, and it has worked for many. They also have some distributors who are really crushing it by getting others on board. Does this mean I’m involved?
This video explains everything:
Make sense? Either way, here’s 12 crucial points you should know before joining Valentus.
#12. The miracle coffee diet
So, Valentus’s thing is their signature SlimRoast coffee, which is a blend containing non-GMO dark roast coffee, chlorogenic acid, garcinia cambogia, phaseolamin, cassiolamine green tea, ginseng, L-carnitine, and chromium.
I don’t know about you, but I like my coffee fresh and high-quality. The idea of drinking a cup of joe that contains multiple ingredients I can’t even pronounce makes me wary.
However, Valentus claims this formulation is optimized for fat-burning and detoxing your body. That’s a valuable perk, but most miracle diets tend to be less miraculous than they boast.
#11. Four different products
SlimRoast is what they’re known for, but they have four different products:
- SlimRoast
- Trim
- Immune Boost
- Energy
#10. No diet or exercise necessary
Valentus claims that you don’t need to exercise, at all, or alter your diet, AT ALL, to see results with their SlimRoast coffee.
I have my doubts.
Weight loss is as simple as calories in/calories expended. If you’re not changing either of those numbers at all, how can you possibly be losing weight? Even if their coffee mixture does cause your body weight to drop, the weight loss can’t be sustainable without a long-term lifestyle change.
#9. If you’re not losing weight, it’s your body’s fault
Valentus does admit on their website that some customers do not see weight loss results, but instead of faulting the product, blames it on their customers’s bodies.
“[Failure to lose weight] is a result, most likely, to a number of factors including menopause, hormonal replacement therapy, anti-depressant medications, a Candida Albicans (yeast) infection, external stress, excessive alcohol and high caloric food consumption, or genetics.” [1]
#8. Product contains sugar and caffeine
This can be a problem for some people.
While their products all contain 4 grams of sugar or less, which is below the daily recommended value, some people prefer to cut out sugar entirely. Others prefer their coffee as black and bitter as their souls (you might want to check out Organo Gold).
There is also caffeine, which is a problem for the growing market of people who have cut out coffee and caffeine or prefer to drink decaffeinated products.
While their Immune Boost product doesn’t contain caffeine, the rest do. The SlimRoast contains 120mg of caffeine. [2]
As a result, many customers have experienced feeling the “jitters”, getting light-headed, and being irritable, despite the product’s claims that it elevates mood.
#7. Only $20 to get started
If you want to join the business opportunity with Valentus, you only pay $20 to become an “IR Member”.
You automatically get 7 websites and become eligible to start earning.
#6. No auto-ship requirements
On top of the cheap sign-on fee, you also don’t have to be on autoship to be eligible for earnings.
Of course, to qualify for commission, you do need to maintain one order per month. While you don’t need to set it to autoship, you might as well.
#5. 50BV monthly minimum for commission
To qualify to earn commission, you need to be purchasing at least 50PV in personal volume each month.
This equals out to one box of product, which costs $59.95. So, not an insane expense. If you can’t sell one box a month, you don’t need to be in direct sales.
#4. Preferred customers can qualify for free product
If you’re a preferred customer (purchase your boxes on autoship), you can get your product for free by referring at least 2 friends to purchase using your customer ID.
You don’t even have to be signed up as a distributor to unlock this deal.
#3. Seven power bonuses
- Retail commissions (25%)
- Fast start bonus (up to $100)
- Legacy coded bonus ($100)
- Dual team commissions (up to $100,000 per week)
- Dual team matching bonus (seven levels starting at 20%)
- Global volume shared enrollment pool (1%)
- Vehicle bonus ($400-3,000 monthly)
So, commission is a little below average.
But those bonuses though…
Dual team commissions on up to $100,000 per week? Matching bonuses starting at 20%? A car bonus of up to $3,000 PER MONTH?
These are high-level bonuses for sure, but they’re only for high level earners. With MLM, that’s usually the top .01%, while the rest are scraping up pennies. [3]
#2. 12 pounds or 12 inches Quickstart Plan
Valentus has a Quickstart Plan that they claim can help you lose 12 pounds or 12 inches, although they don’t indicate a timeline.
This plan involves purchases monthly orders of three of their Prevail products and taking them daily: the SlimRoast, Trim, and Immune Boost.
The cost is $129.95 for a month’s worth of each product, or $199.99 for two months product.
That’s actually not a bad deal. Plenty of people probably spend more than $100 per month at Starbucks, and a lot of other weight loss plans in the MLM industry can cost upwards of $500.
#1. Testimonials to prove it
They’ve got the testimonials to prove that their product does work, at least for some. And they’re not all sourced from their website.
Local news outlets have buzzed in the past about the product. One man in Wilmington NC, the owner of CG Dawgs hot dog stand, lost 78 pounds in just three months. [4]
A Filipino public school nurse in California had so much success using the product to stay fit, that she started selling it like crazy to other people in the Filipino community in California.
She then saw the potential for the product in the Filipino market, and started flying back and forth between California and the Philippines on sales trips. She’s opened up her own Valentus SlimRoast store in the Philippines and plans to open more.
She’s been so successful and seen such a high demand for the product in the Phillipines that she’s working with Valentus executives to open a warehouse in the Philippines. [5]
This is the kind of start your own business story that really inspires people to join MLM.
Unfortunately, it’s the outlier rather than the norm.
—
Basically, if you are set on the MLM route, Valentus isn’t a bad way to go. But if you just want a nice side income stream, you’d probably get a better return on your efforts elsewhere.
If you like automated ways to build passive income, there are better ways.
(and you can trash those old MLM habits, too)
